Preventive Oral Hygiene

Back
It is recommended to perform professional oral hygiene at least every 6 months unless your dentist tells you otherwise.

STEPS OF ORAL HYGIENE PROCEDURE:
  • At the beginning of the procedure, the Patient's oral hygiene condition is assessed.
  • Oral hygiene is performed with an ultrasonic scaler. During the procedure, plaque is removed from the tooth surface with special instruments - curettes. Pigment particles caused by smoking, heavy coffee, and tea consumption are cleaned using the "Air - Flow" system. After removing plaque stones, the teeth are polished with special toothpaste and toothbrushes.
  • The oral hygienist explains the importance of dental care to the Patient and selects individual oral care products. If necessary, the oral hygienist after having noticed changes in the condition of the teeth refers the Patient to a general dentist.
